We recently took an extended weekend trip to Seattle Washington, our first time not just passing through the city. We did all the typical touristy things including a trip up to the observation deck of the Space Needle.  For a few dollars more you can buy a pass that lets you up twice within a 24 hour period so you get to see the view by day and by night. The views are fantastic!

There are tall Plexiglas barriers, wires and nets for safety reasons which makes using anything but a REALLY tall tripod impossible. It requires a bump of the ISO, a steady hand and, what I found helps, to either wrap the strap around your opposite arm or pull keep it around your neck but pull it taut and use your head to try to stabilize the camera. It isn’t perfectly clear and sharp but not bad for hand-held.
